Stitch by stitch
Step by step
Swiftly
Deftly
Her fingers moved
As if was she stringing a guitar
The piece of fabric was her instrument
And she, an amateur artist.
Dress designing
Happened by default.
She didn’t like conforming
And so she crafted her own style.
Simple designs
Shaped to suit her body.
It was the only way to get the perfect fit.
Thread by thread
Tack by tack
Silently
Diligently
She weaved her needle
Through the fabric
Like the notes of a melody
And the alterations were almost complete.
The tapestry of life is beautiful
You can dream it and design it
You can create it and change it
Subtly
Subconsciously
Life becomes a series of making alterations
To what we wear outside
And what we are within.
